Disney Dining

Planning to take a trip to Disney World? You will definitely want to look into a Disney Dining Plan. With several plans to choose from, how do you pick the right plan for you? In this post I will breakdown the ins and outs of the different dining plans Disney World offers. Please note: Disneyland does not currently have a dining plan.

To get started you will want to ask yourself a few questions.

1. Will you be staying at a Disney resort? (The Disney Dining plans are only available for resort guests.)

2. How long are you going for?

3. Do you want to dine with any of the Disney characters?

4. Will you want to or have time for eating at table service locations?

By answering these questions, you will be able to determine which plan works best for you.

Plan 1 - Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan

This plan is great for families that only plan on eating at quick service locations. This plan is also great if you are limited on time or are only visiting Disney for a couple of days. With this plan you will get:

- 2 Quick Service Meals and 2 Snacks per person per day

With each meal you will receive 1 entree and 1 beverage (alcoholic beverage if you are 21 or older)

Guests will also receive a refillable mug which can be used at any Disney Resort Hotel. (These mugs are for use at the resorts only and not at any of the parks.)

Price per adult per night - $52.50

Price per child (3-9 years old) - $21.74

Plan 2 - Disney Dining Plan

This plan is perfect for families that wish to dine with Disney Characters, attend a dinner show, or enjoy delicious food at a sit down table service location. This plan is a perfect mix of quick service and table service credits. With this plan you will get:

- 1 Quick Service Meal, 1 table service meal, and 2 snacks per person per day

With each Quick Service meal you will receive 1 entree and 1 beverage (alcoholic beverage if you are 21 or older). With each table service meal you will receive 1 entree or full buffet, 1 desert, and 1 beverage (alcoholic beverage if you are 21 or older).

Guests will also receive a refillable mug which can be used at any Disney Resort Hotel. (These mugs are for use at the resorts only and not at any of the parks.)

Price per adult per night - $75.49

Price per child (3-9 years old) - $25.75

Plan 3 - Disney Deluxe Dining Plan

This plan is perfect for guest wanting to eat most of their meals at a table service restaurant. With this plan you will get:

- 3 Table Service Meals and 2 snacks per person per day

With each table service meal you will receive 1 appetizer, 1 entree or full buffet, 1 desert, and 1 beverage (alcoholic beverage if you are 21 or older).

Price per adult per night - $116.25

Price per child (3-9 years old) - $39.99

In my opinion the Disney Dining plans are well worth the money. We love food, and Disney food is delicious. Planning our dining is one of the best parts of planning our trip. We like to eat good and don't want to be limited on eating hot dogs and such. When my family takes a long trip, we love to eat with the characters. Eating with the characters is all part of the magic, and I can't imagine a trip to WDW without it. Plus, at certain times of the year Disney offers free dining. We have always been able to go when it's a promo period, and that has saved us a lot of money. Can't beat free food!!
